Beautiful Dance-Bye Bye Sea

Been having this song on repeat for the past couple days. D: First discovered it through the Kdrama Dream High 2. The plot line is similar to that of Glee, an American TV show, but so much more amusing. I'd recommend it those Gleeks out there

Here's the cover of the song from Dream High 2

Ugh so I am sick

Ahem, so it seems like I have the sniffles. Its nothing major, just a little sore throat and a nose full of beautiful dripping mucus. At least I'm sick at home, where my mommy can take care of my poor whiny, pms-y sniffling butt. Thank you mommy for taking care of me, even though I can be a bitch to deal with when I'm sick <3.Other than the fact that I'm sick, I had a lovely Rosh Hashanah weekend. I got to spend a day with some of my awesome high school pals and the rest of the weekend with the family. I also got to eat tons of yummy foods.

On Wednesday, I took the train home. It was a long 1.5 hours, but I was able to make time go by faster by working on my poster for an upcoming conference. Time really flies when you're working hard. My mommy picked me up for the train station and that night I was able to have hotpot for dinner! There was an assortment of seafood, shrimp, shrimp balls, FJ fish balls, scallops, etc etc. We were allowed to have 2 FJ fish balls each. Turns out my brother only had one, -ahem- I might've eaten an extra one aka his other fish ball. Sorry lil bro, but hey you get to eat good food every single day. Just wait till you go to college and eat horrible greasy Chinese food that gives you indigestion. Not a pretty sight, so enjoy it while you can.

On Thursday, I got to hang out with my friends Judy, Cathy and Eileen. Since I had coupons for several eateries in the Rego Park shopping center, my friends Judy, Eileen and I went there to get some noms. We decided to eat at Panera Bread because we had never tried the food there before. When we walked in we were greeted with the warmth and smells of freshly baked pastries and bread. While Eileen and I were standing on line, we were drooling over the pastry case. They had bear claws, danishes, cookies and more. Next time I go I'm definitely going to pick up a pastry.

The coupon I used for Panera was for a buy one get one free you pick two combo. For the you pick two, you picked two from the following: a cup of soup, half a sandwich, or a salad. We decided to get a 2 soups and sandwich combos. The first combo was the Cream of Chicken with Wild Rice soup with an apple and Frontega Chicken panini. The second combo was the Broccoli Cheddar Soup (the cashier giddily informed us that it was her favorite soup and she had it all the time) with a baguette and the Chipotle Chicken panini. Both soups were creamy, delicious and very filling. The Broccoli Cheddar soup had a slight sharpness to it which I didn't really like. Both panini's were good also, the chicken in the panini's were very tender and juicy, which is always a good sign. Overall I liked Panera Bread, I would definitely recommend it to a friend. Next time, I would like to try a freshly baked pastry.

Blueberrry and Tangomonium with mochi pieces, pineapple,
blueberries and mango.
After Panera, we went to Red Mango, where I got to use another coupon (if you didn't notice, I <3 coupons), this time it was for 20% off one item. The Red Mango was a self service one, there are multiple stations, of different flavors. When we went there was Pumpkin Spice, Tangomonium, Original, Blueberry and Chocolate. Sadly, they didn't have my favorite flavor White Peach. Before settling on a flavor, we asked for sample cups so we could sample the different flavors. We sampled the Pumpkin Spice and it was very interesting -ahem-. We also sampled the Blueberry and Tangomonium flavors, and decided to get it. We topped it off with mochi bits, pineapple, mango and three blueberries. As we were eating, Cathy appeared! \o/ After Cathy got her Red Mango and we were all done eating we walked to QC to go shopping.

Shopping is shopping. I'm pretty sure nobody wants to read about my shopping trip. So I'm gonna fast forward to dinner.
Chicken Teriyaki, Soup and Rice

Peach Milk Tea. Isn't the teapot pretty?

We ate dinner dinner at the Rose House, which is Judy's FAVORITE place in the whole entire world. I got the Chicken Teriyaki combo, which came with soup, 2 rose cookies and a pot of tea. I decided to get the peach milk tea, because I love peach tea and milk tea. The Peach Milk tea was alright, I couldn't really taste the flavor of the peaches :(. The soup was minestrone, which was warm and filling. It had beans, carrots, celery and a whole lot of other vegetables in it. Because I'm a weirdo and I like eating my soup with rice in it, I put the majority of my rice in the soup. The chicken teriyaki was good, the chicken was tender and juicy. Overall, I enjoyed my meal at the Rose House, I would definitely go again, except next time I would go to try their tea time.

I'm sorry I don't have pictures for these next couple meals. :(

Friday morning, I got to go dimsum-ing with my parents and the brother at Linden Place. When you walk into Linden Place, you don't feel as if you're in a Chinese restaurant. You feel like you're in some time machine, that takes you back to 19th century Europe. The decor of Linden Place is very European, it feels like you've walked into a European Palace. Its such a weird setting for dim sum. The dim sum was good. We ate the usual dishes such as siu mai, har gao, cheong fun, etc etc. I was able to get enough MSG to last me until Thanksgiving break.

After dim sum we went grocery shopping and for that nights dinner I got to eat lobster! :3. The way my dad cooks the lobster is so simple, yet it brings out the natural flavor of the lobster. It was so tender and juicy. とてもおいしいですねええ!

Saturday morning, I woke up with sniffles.... and basically spent the whole day sneezing :(. I spent my time isolated in my room, trying to diminish my massive piles of HW. I had homemade wontons for dinner, the warm soup definitely made me feel a little less crappy.

I'm sorry if my writing is all choppy and all over the place. I was never very good at writing in the first place, the point of writing these blogs is to.......well make me suck less at writing. haha. Well now I'm gonna head off and sleep or try to do more homework or try to not fail at studying. Must not dishonor family!!!!!! D':

Hope you guys enjoyed reading my ramblings. <3

Herro world! My first ever blog post O:

I should be studying for my organic chemistry test, which is later tonight, but instead I'm here blogging my first ever entry. Hahahaha....... this blog is going to be an attempt to improve my writing skills and force me to use the digital camera I bought several years ago. I'll be blogging about music, food, life and beauty products (?) (this is a maybe because it depends on if I have the moolahs to buy any ;~;). I'll also be writing about my adventures in college, which don't really involve much.... They usually consist of the once in a blue moon trip to Walmart, the mall, 2am dinners at the a dining hall across campus. or watching scary movies till 5am. The watching part doesn't really happen because I tend to just hide behind a blanket in an attempt to block out gory bits. Which is completely counter productive because if I go to med school I will end up dissecting dead cadavers, which is way more gross than some CGI gory blood scene . Complete awesome sauce. See my life isn't that exciting right?
